The 3D View is a great way to represent both complexity and simplicity at the same time, creating an impactful view to perhaps start a presentation on.
Using relationships, you can show not just how complex the inter-relationships are but also that by clicking on an item, you can easily focus down to just that item and the item’s it is related to.
And just like every other view, using filters, you can easily reduce the large volume of items to a smaller set of important items, demonstrating the ability to see the specific items amongst the data.
The 3D view works amazingly on a large touch screen as a way of encouraging users to recognise and interact with the data in a multi-dimensional view of their business.
The view is great for creating views such as:
Multiple roadmaps in one view – By showing time by category by owner.
Decision Cube – By plotting feasibility by viability by desirability.
Portfolio View - By plotting probability by impact by risk.
Product Feedback – By plotting number of “Likes” by “Dislikes” by category.
Note: The 3D view takes advantage of the GPU Capability common in all modern laptops. If you happen to experience poor performance when using the view, please raise a support ticket and we will assist you.
